Oran Baptist Church works diligently to meet the ever-changing needs of the communities in which we live. We have ministries dedicated to children, to youth, to widows, and to families in every stage of life.
Through teaching and preaching on Sunday mornings, services on Sunday and Wednesday evenings, and through a growing mentorship program, we work to bring each member to full maturity in Christ within an atmosphere of encouragement and hope.
Our work is broken into three major facets:
Evangelism - This consists of activities specifically designed to reach the lost with the saving power of the Gospel.
Equiping - This is where the majority of our time and energy and resources are spent. Acts 2:42 describes the New Testament church as a people devoted to sound teaching and to fellowship with one another, to include eating meals together.
Building Leaders - No church should have but one man at the leader/elder/pastor position. Every lead pastor has the God-given resposibility to train up men to co-labor with him. These are men who may eventually be sent out to plant new churches when they are fully trained.
